Guide

Moving from WordPress or Wix

Give your AI the address of your current site. It rebuilds it as fast, plain pages at the same addresses, and you take a look before anything switches over.

Your AI, connected to Spaicely
  1. Move my site www.harpersbakery.co.uk to Spaicely. Show me first which pages you find.
  2. I found 14 pages, 62 images and a contact form. The newsletter plugin becomes a sign-up list. Shall I start?
  3. New site ready to view
Example conversation. The step names are the real tools your AI calls.

How it works

Your AI fetches your pages, images, titles and descriptions from your current site and turns them into clean HTML in the same style. Addresses stay the same, so links and search results keep working. Anything that does change gets a redirect.

What a plugin did gets a place at Spaicely: a contact form becomes a Spaicely form, a newsletter a sign-up list and WooCommerce a web shop. Your AI tells you beforehand what won't come along.

Your current site keeps running until you say the domain can switch. Your email belongs to your domain and doesn't move to another system; we copy the settings.

Examples

What you can say

Take what fits, swap in your own names and send it to your AI.

Move the whole site

You say:

Move my site www.harpersbakery.co.uk to Spaicely. Keep the same pages and addresses, bring over the images and the titles and descriptions for Google, and show me what you find first.

What happens next

Your AI makes a list of the pages and of what the plugins do, and waits for your go-ahead. Then it rebuilds everything and publishes the site at an address of its own, so you can take a look before your domain switches.

Refresh it at the same time

You say:

Move my WordPress site, but give it a calmer design with more white space. The text and the addresses stay the same.

What happens next

Your AI takes over the content and makes a new design. The addresses stay the same, so Google has nothing new to learn.

Bring your forms

You say:

My WordPress site has a contact form and a newsletter. Move them to Spaicely and send messages to info@harpersbakery.co.uk.

What happens next

Your AI creates the forms and puts them on the same pages. Your existing newsletter list doesn't come along by itself; keep it in the program you send your newsletter with.

Switch the domain over

You say:

The new site looks good. Connect harpersbakery.co.uk to it and make sure my email keeps working.

What happens next

Your AI shows which settings of your domain come along, such as your email. After your go-ahead the domain switches and gets a certificate by itself. Only then do you cancel your old hosting.

Good to know

  • Only move a site that's yours or that you're allowed to move.
  • Member logins, a forum or a database of your own are things a static site doesn't do. Your AI tells you if your site relies on them.
  • This also works for Wix, Squarespace and most other site builders. WordPress usually goes smoothest, because it offers its content neatly.

Create an account and connect your own AI. Then just say what you want: a site, a domain, a contact form.
