Guide

Forms, sign-ups and payments

A site of plain files can't process a form by itself. Spaicely does that. You ask your AI for what you need; it puts it on the page and sets it up.

Your AI, connected to Spaicely
  1. Put a contact form on my contact page. Messages can go to info@harpersbakery.co.uk.
  2. The form is ready. You'll get one email at info@harpersbakery.co.uk; click the link in it and messages will start coming in.
  3. Form live at harpersbakery.co.uk/contact
Example conversation. The step names are the real tools your AI calls.

How it works

The form sits on your own site in your own design. What a visitor fills in goes to our service, which passes it on. You don't need to find a form service elsewhere or keep a plugin up to date.

If messages go to a different address from your account's, that address first gets one email with a confirmation link. That way nobody can use your form to email a stranger.

We catch spam without puzzles for your visitors: a form only works from your own domain, an invisible field catches robots and there are limits per visitor.

Examples

What you can say

Take what fits, swap in your own names and send it to your AI.

Contact form

You say:

Put a contact form on my contact page with name, email and message. Messages can go to info@harpersbakery.co.uk. Make a thank-you page too.

What happens next

Your AI makes the form and the thank-you page and publishes them. Every message arrives as an email; if you reply, your answer goes to the visitor.

Newsletter sign-up list

You say:

Make a sign-up list for our newsletter, with a small sign-up box at the bottom of every page.

What happens next

The visitor confirms their address by email and is then on the list. You ask your AI for the list or download it as a CSV. You send the newsletter itself with your own mail program.

See your sign-ups

You say:

How many people signed up this month?

What happens next

Your AI fetches the list and counts the confirmed sign-ups. Ask it to remove someone and it does that too.

A download in exchange for details

You say:

Put our bread guide behind a form: people fill in their name and email address, then get the download link by email. [add the pdf]

What happens next

The file sits in a place you can only reach through the form. You get the details as an email; the link works for 7 days.

Discount code

You say:

Give everyone who enters their email address the discount code WELCOME10, in a box on the home page.

What happens next

The visitor gets the code, you get their details. You can also supply a list of unique codes; you then get a message when the list is nearly used up.

A code per week

You say:

For the next four weeks, use a different discount code each week: WEEK45, WEEK46, WEEK47 and WEEK48, each from Monday to Sunday.

What happens next

Spaicely hands out the right code each week by itself. Your AI doesn't have to touch it after that.

Poll

You say:

Put a poll on the home page: which bread should we add for the summer? Sourdough, spelt or rye. Show the result after someone has voted.

What happens next

Visitors vote without logging in. Voting again changes their vote. You choose when the result shows: always, after voting, after the end or only to you.

Donations

You say:

Make a donation page for the new oven: target €2,000, buttons for €10, €25 and €50 and a custom amount. Show a progress bar and the names of donors who are happy to be named.

What happens next

Visitors pay through Stripe, straight into your own Stripe account. The bar updates itself and you can give the campaign an end date.

A paid download

You say:

Sell the bread guide for €5: after paying, the buyer gets the download link by email.

What happens next

The buyer pays you through Stripe and gets the link by email. The same works with a discount code, for a gift voucher for instance.

Keep the messages too

You say:

From now on, also keep the contact form messages at Spaicely, so I can look them up later.

What happens next

By default we don't keep messages. If you switch this on, they stay with your site for a year, with an export to CSV.

Good to know

  • A contact form, sign-up list, download, discount code and poll are included in every plan.
  • For donations you connect a Stripe account once and fill in your billing details. That works on every plan.
  • A paid download or code needs the Shop plan and a Stripe account of your own.
  • On paid forms and donations we charge 2% plus VAT per payment. Stripe charges its own fees on top. For now these payments are in euros.
